Living Words by Becca
"The heights by great men reached and kept were not obtained by sudden flight.
But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. "

God's Mountain
I heard Kim Clements speak today. He spoke of God's mountain and how Moses was given two covenants, the old and the new. For God's mountain, to the people of Israel, was one of thunder and lightning. It was a mountain that produced fear in the people. But we know that God says, fear of the Lord is not present in judgement but in mercy. God's second covenant with Moses is where He showed him His glory. He passed Moses by in the cleft of the rock. When God spoke to Moses to strike the rock, living waters flowed from it. From our bellies, through the redemption Christ died for, our bellies also flow with living water. This is the new covenant, one of mercy, goodness and kindness. Do you stand on the mountain feeling judged and hated by God, fearful of His reproach. Come down off that mountain, for that covenant was broken and the new covenant is God's promise. Be a champion like David, and walk in faith. Faith that GOD is your healer, eternal Father, and holy substitute for your wrongdoing. Accept His FREE gift of grace in your time of need and walk knowing He loves you and is merciful towards those who love HIM.

God Called Us "Same"
In Genesis, GOD created beings and called them "human." This word has significance in how God created us. The root word for "human" is "homo". Homo means "same", or of the same kind. Have you considered the significance of this naming? Scripture tells us that He created us in His likeness, but it goes beyond being "like" Him, He says we are a being of the "same kind." We are spiritual beings first, just like God. We walk in a fleshly body marred by sin and death, but we are to shed our fleshly mind and walk in the Spirit. Sin is what has separated us from God, a curse through the disobedience of Adam. But, our "born again" status means our spirit is alive within us and can be controlled by a "same" spirit, namely the Holy Spirit. Remember that God the Father, whom we cry for as Abba, has adopted us into His righteous Kingdom through the intercession and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We are to come to God the Father and establish a relationship with HIM, not just Jesus, for we are of the "same" spirit as God. He breathed our very life into us. Seek the Father's Heart for you life and you will be changed from Glory to Glory. Amen!
